What drew you to this role and what got you started in this field?

I grew up gardening with my Dad. My favorite pastime was spending hours wandering our local nursery together. The majority of my childhood was spent outside.

I earned my first degree in visual arts from the University of Washington. After years of searching for my true passon, I finally decided to combine my art background with landscape design. This allows me to use my creativity in a new way. Getting to work outside for a living is a dream come true.

I have a certificate in landscape horticulture from South Seattle College and I use to work as a landscape design assistant/freelance designer in West Seattle. Since my time working as a greenhouse assistant, my continued curiousity for plants has grown. It’s an honor to work for a women-led company that understands the importance of native plants and regenerative landscaping.

Name three word that describe you.

Observant, Creative, Authentic.

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?

Hiking alongside my partner and two dogs, working on DIY home projects, embroidering, or getting lost in my personal garden.
