A deeper look

These clients wanted to take back their yard. Starting with relocating their shed and adding a DADU, they were looking for a new direction. So they brought us in to work our magic.

This project is a great example of why simplicity works. Gravel pathways, minimal flagstone, and reclaimed bricks play with texture and color. Why use the same material when you can use multiple? We love a design that breaks traditional design rules. Our clients additionally added a wooden mushroom scultpure, bringing in their own charm. A curved path and a plant palette tailored to conifer understory. Conifer understories can bring their challenges, but we know which native plants thrive in these conditions.

This project has shown us that even carefully designed plans need tweaking. Post installation we have worked with this client to revise the plan as it has evolved. Whether its due a pet or a renovation, we will always work to edit and resolve a site challenge, making it better than it was before.
