To take two grass patches, a cracked front walkway and poorly planted borders and transform it into a beautifully varied fully planted space with paths, mounds, rocks is wonderful. You preserved the plants I wanted to save and integrated them into the design so well.

A deeper look

This project reminds us that clients can be friends and friends can become clients. Situated in the hills of South Seattle, we transformed this small sloped front yard into a space our client will enjoy for years to come. We utilized permeable Eco Priora Pavers to redo their concrete entry, while working with the challenge of an extreme slope. The Paperbark Maple is the statement of this yard and before, it was drowning in shrubs too large for the space. You’ll also notice a cedar framed hogwire panel built to eventually create privacy from the neighbors view above with a climbing evergreen jasmine. Something you won’t see, we diverted roof rainwater into the garden to be absorbed by the new plants rather than free draining up against the house.
