What drew you to this role and what got you started in this field?
I grew up helping my mom in the garden and have always loved transforming the outdoor spaces we treasured. I studied environmental science at UCSB and started learning about horticulture my senior year working in the research greenhouses. Since then, I have worked at cut flower farms and in the travel industry. I find so much inspiration in the endless natural spaces in Washington and hope to encourage more native gardening in our community. I feel so lucky I get to help care for our clients’ gardens alongside the SSG team!

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
I love to spend time in the parks around my neighborhood or up in the mountains. I’m passionate about reducing pollution in our green spaces and waterways so I’m often picking up trash at the beach.
