A deeper look

Starting with a blank slate, this client had nothing but soil and gravel leftover from a previous renovation. Concerned about viable soil health, we worked to replenish the soil content with amendments and ample planting.

Our client loves cobblestone and specifically requested the contrasting colors. We made sure to coordinate her color scheme with her house and existing elements. Instead of putting cobblestone everywhere, to stay within budget, we installed it in the highest priority areas, including expanding her small driveway. Wood chips allowed for a simple but efficient path.

We added two metal raised beds in the sunny side of the yard and priortized patio space in the back. This is the area our client hopes to entertain and enjoy shade from her established the pear tree. Due to the busy street, she wanted to add something to her fence that would prevent tagging. Three trellises will eventually be covered in vines to become a living wall.

The design may be small, but there’s no limit to size when it comes to gardening!
