Garden In a Box

Garden In a Box

Our Garden In a Box pilot is currently in progress! 12 participants received  a pre-designed native pollinator garden box, including 12 species, 40+ plants, and a planting guide thoughtfully curated for the Pacific Northwest.

Our garden boxes are designed to integrate native plants specifically curated for the diverse gardening conditions of the PNW into new and existing spaces. We aim to provide tailored solutions for those challenging areas of your yard where gardening previously seemed impossible.

Our garden box will give you access to a professionally designed native garden — without the high cost.

The result? A colorful, vibrant yard filled with butterflies, bees, birds, and life.

You can expect an updated pollinator box and an additional new box this Fall! If you’d like to stay in the loop on future garden boxes and events, we recommend you subscribe to our newsletter.

Rainwise

We are Rainwise certified contractors – meaning we can design your rain garden and install it too! We love helping our clients manage their stormwater runoff while also building them a natural feature that attracts beneficial pollinators and insects! We offer this service in addition to landscape design services.

Let Your Yard Reflect Your Values

Creating environmental impact starts in your yard and your community. In fact, as Earth faces unprecedented challenges due to climate change, habitat loss, and a biodiversity crisis, one of the most impactful things you can do as a homeowner is put your yard to work.

When you choose to work with Shooting Star Gardens, you are making a decision to be part of the solution. We’ll help you create a yard that attracts and supports pollinators, utilizes native plants that can more readily adapt to our changing climate, conserves use of water, and creates an inviting space for you and your family to interact with the natural world without having to leave the city.

At Shooting Star Gardens, we are making a difference by creating a more sustainable world – one garden at a time. Let’s talk about how your backyard can be part of the solution.

Sentimental garden feature showcasing owner's childhood front door remade into a sustainable garden art feature

This project charms us with its use of salvaged materials. Our client's door from her childhood is suspended in the garden using a fallen Madrone tree trunk as a support, tucked in close is a Winter Sun Mahonia.
